The Yule Truck Lines, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Yule) filed an application with the Public Service Commission (hereinafter referred to as the commission) for a certificate to operate as a common motor carrier for the hauling of freight in intrastate commerce between Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee. Theretofore, the plaintiff Motor Transport Company (hereinafter referred to as Motor Transport) enjoyed a monopoly as to the transportation of goods by motor carrier intrastate between such three cities inasmuch as it was the only common motor carrier to whom the commission had issued a certificate permitting such operation.
